    Product Description

    The TNTE XM177/GAU-5 Flash Hider & Grenade Ring is reproduction piece for your Retro carbine build. This flash hider has wrench flats, as well as flash hider cuts and grenade ring. The XM177 Flash Hider fits 1/2-28 threads are machined from 4140 heat treated steel and has a phosphate finish. Flash Hider overall length is 5.5". Weighs 8.8oz. This has a 3/4" straight wall bore. The rear is chamfered to align a crush washer or shims (not included). 

     

    The shortest length barrel you can use with these and be legal for OAL is 11.3". Anything shorter after pin and weld will be an SBR. To correctly measure OAL you must insert a rod down the bore until it makes contact with the bolt face.  DOES NOT INCLUDE A CRUSH WASHER.

      5.5" GAU Brake

      Hands down the best brake on the market. I have been converting my platforms over to this brake from TNTE, this brake unlike the birdcage pushes the report forward of the shooter instead of all encompassing, providing for more enjoyable and just flat makes a retro cool XM177 clone. I have both lengths offered and in nitride and absolutely buying more soon!

      These are really nice 1 piece Flash Hiders. I bought Both these 5.5" and the 4.3" versions. I'm still undecided which ones I like best at this point because they Both look nice on my 11.5" SBR's. No regrets at all with either one.
