XM-177 Style Carbine Stock Polymer

Virtually no wobble especially when compared to 99% of collapsible stocks on the market, an excellent addition to my 177 build

Stock set is solid and well made with little to no wiggle in the stock itself reducing the rattle of my rifle overall as well

THE XM-177 TYPE STOCK I PURCHASED FROM TNTE WILL LOOK ERA CORRECT FOR THE XM-177E CLONE I'M BUILDING.

The stock looks awesome. The only issue is the trigger doesn’t release fully. You have to pull down like for an install, then the spring doesn’t release the plunger. A light tap on the plunger releases it and then you can adjust it to your desired position. I’m hoping it is just tight and will wear in. If I had it to do over I would have gotten the two position buffer tube.

All parts are top quality. The fit of the stock to the buffer tube is perfect - and it actually has less wobble than I expected. The buffer and spring worked well and provided a smooth recoil impulse. I gave it four stars because it’s a six position tube and uses a standard castle nut, which isn’t period correct for an XM177. Still, it’s a small detail. The six position stock is an upgrade from the old school two position stocks, and the castle nut is far easier to install and more secure than the CAR-15 lock rings. All in all, I don’t regret my purchase at all. TNTE also sells the old school parts if you want to go with absolute authenticity.

I ordered this stock for my M4. I know it's not "correct" for my M4, but I like the profile better than the standard issue M4 stock. The fit is superb! There's WAY less slop than the set up my M4 came with, and the buffer tube is much higher quality as well. I would certainly recommend it. I was really impressed with how much of an improvement the tube alone was. It has a nice little sort of tabbed area at its 6'oclock that does a much better job of retaining the buffer retaining pin than the tube that came on my M4. Another top notch product if you ask me.
