Retro A1 Triangle Style Carbine Handguards

Fit was perfect. Outstanding product.

After spending half my life looking for either a carbine or mid-length retro handguard, I found these. Not too shabby. They are super tight though, had to finesse mine into the handguard cap with a nylon hammer.

This is a Christmas present. The items appear to be of good quality and exactly what I ordered. I don't know yet about the fit.

These are awesome if you're looking to build a retro carbine length ar. Not sure what the one of the other reviews was referring to about the delta ring but my fit into a standard one no problem. They also sell the triangular cap with the .750 gas tube hole for like three bucks. Very happy.

Perhaps ten years or so ago I assembled a Colt Model 607 "clone" with a 16" barrel and faux slipover moderator. It came out very nice. Recently, I had a Form 1 approved for an SP1 lower, which is reasonably similar to that which would be found on a 607. I used components from a company no longer active to assemble my upper. Rather than tear that assembly apart, I decided to build a new upper with a 10.3" barrel. I was pleased to find these handguards. They are very, very nicely made. Alas, it appears that they are intended to "socket" directly into the handguard ring, unlike the original 607 handguards and my first set of reproduction handguards. These earlier handguards are cut off square, requiring a rear triangular end cap. Said cap has a flange that engages the handguard ring. Consequently, I dinged this otherwise very nicely made product one star, for inauthenticity. If I weren't seeking a more faithful reproduction of a 607 I would give these handguards five stars.

Really and exellent product. High quality! Anyone looking to build a sort of A1 retro carbine will find these indispensable. Saves going the custom made route from a gunsmith. TNTE was just super and advised me of the status of my order from the day I placed it until I received it. Superb customer service. Rare in this day and age.
