This M4 Barreled Upper Assembly is complete and ready for you to add your choice of BCG, Charging handle, Optics or Rear Sights. The highly accurate 13.9" (16” OAL) M4A1 SOCOM profile barrel is Phosphate Finished and machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel - chrome lined and rifled 1 x 7 Right Hand twist. An SF3P Flash Suppressor and standard A2 F-Marked Front Sight are fitted. The Flash hider is pinned and welded to meet the ATF 16" requirement.
The Daniel Defense Rail Interface System (RIS III) was designed at the request of the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for the SOPMOD II program. It allows the individual operator to free-float the M203 grenade launcher without additional parts. The Daniel Defense RIS III M4A1 FSP features a cut out in the top rail to accommodate a standard front sight base on a carbine length gas system.
